- Right hand turns on red lights are illegal in many intersections. At night, especially for those unfamiliar with the area, the signs can be hard to see and you may get pulled over. Drive slowly and cautiously and try to look out for hidden “no turn on red” signs. The police hang out waiting for people to make these turns on red, as a cop remarked to one user. It’s a $250 dollar fine + points.
