Talk:Bryant Park
So, I got taken here on a date numerous times. It is a lovely spot, with a lot of seating (as posted on the page) and a nice place to walk around. A few comments: 1) there are shops/restaurants around so always make a stop for drinks. You can get bottled drinks if you don't want to sit at the restaurant. 2) if it's below 40 degrees then don't take her here. I came here on a date one freezing night. I was already sick (had to postpone our first date because I was too ill..so he knew I was getting over an ailment of some sort) and we walked around Bryant Park. It was frigid. The date was lovely otherwise. I got the flu for 2 weeks afterward though. This goes to show that even if you really mess up and do something kind of dumb...she can still come home thinking the date went well. She may think you're a little stupid, but that doesn't mean she won't have a good time.
If you plan a date and then realize it's below the said 40 degrees, then improvise! At Bryant Park (in the winter) there is a pop-up restaurant called Celsius. If it's cold then you can sit on the couches (they are in the outdoor section of the restaurant beside heat lamps) and order drinks. Depending on the kind of dater you are, you can also order an alcoholic drink if you feel that just ordering a soda is rude to the restaurant (or might seem awkward to your server when s/he is wondering why you're sitting on their couches and only spending $4).
